Like a lot of people I probably first came across Scopitone films while watching Something Weird Videos. These short music films or stripteases were often included as extras on Something Weird Videos. That all changed thanks to the world wide web. Now you can find lots of information about Scopitones on great sites like Bedazzled and on Youtube there are now hundreds of Scopitone films available for viewing. Want to know more? Indeed there is! The first was a popular Scopitone singer and of course the latest is the actress who plays Betty on Mad Men. This gives me an excuse to say… I LOVE Mad Men!

Very cool! And the title caught my attention- I just had a week of Go Go dancers and 60s club posts on Spy Vibe.

Ah, Joi Lansing sings ala Scopitone! Damn, that peek-a-boo cut of hers is seriously distracting, which is saying a lot considering her, um, ample charms.
